A personal note from the photographer:Just 30 minutes before dawn, I spot a young lynx sitting in the forest. As I'm in my car, I drive on as if nothing had happened and park a little further on. I slowly make my way towards him. I don't know exactly where he is, but he's there, and he hasn't moved a muscle. I huddle a little further back in the snow. I want to give him some space so he can go about his business. He's younger than the one I saw the day before with his mother. After a while, he approaches me. There's a mixture of fear and curiosity in his eyes. He stops to analyze me. As night falls, he continues his hunt in the shadows of the spruces. It's one of the most beautiful lynx portraits I've ever taken.
