A personal note from the photographer: An enormous mother humpback suspends herself mid water. Possessing an unfathomable balance of both strength and tenderness her bold presence is heart stopping. Sharing the water with these incredible mothers as they both nurture and protect their young is an experience as humbling, as it is emotionally moving.
