This image was taken in Chubetsu River, Hokkaido, Japan, 2007.

A personal note from the photographer: Daisetsuzan National Park, Hokkaido, Japan. Dawn's early light falls on a frozen stream awaiting springs thaw. This glistening golden stream flowing past marshmallow pillows of snow is popular for its good luck vibe, symbolizing riches and good fortune streaming your way. According to the ancient practice of feng shui (which means "the way of wind and water"), flowing water represents wealth, luck and prosperity and is particularly auspicious when it flows in your direction.
