A personal note from the photographer: Drawn from one of my photographs of the Atlantic puffin in the Hebrides, Sirens was created to convey the connection of seabirds to the marine environment. Living between two worlds, they are such an important indicator of the health of the ocean. The name reflects the warning that this could also hold. The puffin is decorated with details from above and below the surface, from endemic flora to the sand eels that support this entire breeding population. Drawn in archival pigment ink and painted with watercolour.
