A personal note from the photographer: I dreamed of this photograph for years, to see a leopard so perfectly positioned in an acacia, unobstructed from view. When we came across this scene, it literally took my breath away. The position of this tree within the valley created a unique opportunity to use the soft texture from the hill behind, capturing the glow of sunset while keeping the focus on the leopard.
