A personal note from the photographer: A Coastal Wolf skirts the edge of the ocean in the intertidal zone searching for washed up carrion after a big storm on BC's wild pacific north-west coastline. Coastal wolves survive on the delicacies washed up by the ocean twice daily, hunting seafood and small mammals, and swimming great distances between islands in search of food.
