This image was taken in Revillagigedo Islands National Park, Mexico, 2014.

A personal note from the photographer: This female humpback was motionless for 4 days after loosing her calf to orcas the day before this image was taken. Her escort (left) helplessly pushed her on but she wouldn't move, allowing us divers to meet her at 40meters and get close... you could see sadness in her eyes.
